Welcome to Hackham East Schools
Hackham East Schools is located between the Southern Beaches and
Southern Vales.
It comprises the primary, junior primary and kindergarten who
work collaboratively
to develop an engaging teaching and learning program that
has a local and global
emphasis. The primary school has a strong teaching focus
on well being, literacy, numeracy, and science and information technologies.
The french program is unique in that each teacher takes their own
French lessons.
Film making is so strong that we have won local and
international awards. Students
have entered their films in the New
Media Awards, receiving awards in 3 of 4 years.
We offer many opportunities for our students to develop into well
rounded citizens
through, healthy active lifestyles, including a
focus on sport, healthy eating and
vegetable gardening. A strong
focus on the arts including an annual school musical, participation
in Festival of Music Choir, specific boys and girls programs
including
drumming and dance contribute positively to the engagement
of our students. The
school has interactive whiteboards in all of
the primary classrooms. The School's
motto 'We care, Share and
Learn' is reflected throughout the curriculum.
